What this episode is about

Tencent’s Mount Hua Tournament (the 2024 spin-off of The Legend of the Condor Heroes) was already crazy enough for stuffing in Xuzhu, the Eight Desolations and Six Directions, Only I Am Supreme Skill, and the eighth-generation leader of the Ming Cult. But what’s even crazier is that it flat-out writes Huang Yaoshi as the orthodox successor of the Carefree Sect. He’s in his thirties, yet reminisces about “things from a long time ago”; he takes Ouyang Feng out with a single move, and even Wang Chongyang can’t get within an inch of him…

Isn’t this basically spelling it out: Huang Yaoshi is Murong Fu and Wang Yuyan’s son?!

· Why is Huang Yaoshi so ridiculously “eclectic”?

· Why is Huang Yaoshi so “heretical”?

· Why is Huang Yaoshi so arrogant to the bone?

· At the end of the revised edition of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, Wang Yuyan says she wants to “find immortality.” Turns out that was laying the groundwork for Huang Yaoshi all along.
